On a mother-daughter trip to Paris, Maria Shriver and her daughter Christina Schwarzenegger started their three-day jaunt by taking in the Stella McCartney show in the magnificent halls of the Opéra Garnier.

“It’s a trip down memory lane: I used to live in Paris when my father was ambassador,” said Shriver, adding she would also be attending Tuesday’s Chanel show. “I can’t wait,” chimed in Schwarzenegger, who is a freshman at Georgetown University. “I’m on spring break,” she added. Not that fashion shows were the only thing on the Schwarzenegger agenda, “We’re going to the Louvre as well,” said Shriver. Sir Paul McCartney said he is about to embark on a U.K. tour. “I’m doing a lot of song writing: regular and irregular songs,” he said, posing for snapshots with his girlfriend Nancy Shevell. Los Angeles-based songstress Sibley said she would perform at the designer’s party later that evening. Sibley, whose “I Eat Donuts” song was used as the soundtrack for the Stella McCartney show last season, said in addition to wrapping up her debut album, she is working on creating a T-shirt line for women. “I’m thinking about calling it ‘She Lives’ or something that involves the empowerment of women.”

British actress Thandie Newton recently completed filming on “Vanishing on 7th Street,” which she expects to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September.

“It’s a whole new genre for me,” she said of the psychological thriller.

Model Laura Bailey revealed she would be launching a line of jewelry in September for fair trade accessories brand Made. Twiggy was showing off a brocade Stella McCartney jacket in a pattern designed by her daughter, Carly Lawson, who works for the label. “She does all the prints,” the veteran model explained.
